Greetings brothers and sistahs,

Our courts are European; we are not. Not important? Well, you have to attend a court session in which the accused is not an English speaker to fully appreciate the the consequences this bears for effective access to justice and protection of human rights. On top of this, our judges and lawyers have to wear these ridiculous wigs. As Ngugi wa Thiong'o said, "We normalised the abnormalities of the colonial system and called it national and African." It's time to rethink justice in Africa.

We hope you enjoy the rest of this update.

Peace.
